Think safety, manners
Today was a beautiful day, and I try to walk my dog whenever I can. Being a senior citizen, I am always very careful so as not to fall when walking him. Today brought out all the dogs, bikes and so forth.
I was walking on the sidewalk and suddenly there were two kids on bikes and Mom right behind them on her bike. The kids nearly knocked me over and startled the dog as well. He nearly pulled me over. No shout out, like, “Coming up behind you” or “Coming up on your left.”
Why don’t parents teach their children to be not only polite, but safe in biking. Had I fallen, my dog might have gotten away, or many other scenarios, such as him biting the kids in his fear.
Parents, teach your kids safety and manners, and try it yourself.
Nice weather may be around for a while. Live and let live.
