Buffalo Grove public works staffer honored

Buffalo Grove Public Works Maintenance Superintendent Bryan Beitzel recently was honored with the Samuel A. Greely Award for Dedicated Public Service by the American Public Works Association Chicago Metro Chapter.

Beitzel has served in the Buffalo Grove’s public works department since 1993, where he has led sustainability efforts, implemented new technology and overhauled the village's Snow and Ice Plan, officials said in a news release.

“He is always willing to engage with our community, and is committed to building better relationships with residents by educating them about all that Public Works does,” the release states.
