Put our hope in midterm elections

I can’t stay silent any longer. I watched our leader try to defend his decision to launch a war against Iran. He constantly changes his story, which is usually nothing but lies, lies and more lies.

Granted, Iran is a brutal regime, and needs to be changed, but that’s not our responsibility. We are now putting our sons and daughters in harm’s way because Trump had a “gut” feeling.

Besides the peril that he has caused to our troops, the closing of the Strait of Hormuz has brought economic disaster to the whole world. Not to mention the billions of dollars this war has cost us. That sure would have paid for a lot of health care for those that lost theirs over the last few months.

Gas is up, markets are getting crushed, inflation is going to be increasing, all for what? This presidency and administration will go down as the worst in the history. My hope is that most of the spineless Republicans who won’t stand up to Trump will be voted out of Congress.

The grift and conflict of interest that has enriched the Trump family is unbelievable, and it seems no one cares. Let’s hope the midterms brings some much needed change.
