Arlington Heights hosting compost giveaway

Arlington Heights will host a free compost giveaway event for residents from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 11, at the public works building, 222 N. Ridge Ave.

Residents should bring their own 5-gallon bucket for compost.

While there, residents also can pick up a pre-ordered home composter bin. The bins hold six to eight 30-gallon bags of yard material and are made of 100% recycled plastic. Quantities are limited. To order one, call village hall at (847) 368-5500.
