Get your superpowers ready for the Superhero Fun Run on April 18
Superheroes will unite on Saturday, April 18, at the Sensory Garden Playground as the Wheaton Park District hosts the Superhero Fun Run.
Cloaked in capes and costumes, runners and walkers of all ages will take part in a 3K race starting at 8:30 a.m. The course begins on International Drive in Lisle and winds through the scenic Danada Forest Preserve before finishing at the Sensory Garden Playground.
Participants can look forward to superhero character meet and greets, face painting, giveaways, and post-race refreshments. Open to both kids and adults, the untimed race welcomes participants of all skill levels.
Through April 17, the registration fee is $35 for age 13 or older, and $25 for age 12 or under. On race day (April 18), it is $40 or $25.

Packet pickup will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Wheaton Park District Central Athletic Complex, 500 S. Naperville Road in Wheaton.
On race day, packet pickup will also be available from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. on International Drive, adjacent to the Science of Spirituality parking lot at 4105 Naperville Road in Lisle.
A portion of the proceeds will help the Sensory Garden Playground expand and continue to serve the needs of all children, of all ability levels, with accessible playground equipment and inclusive experiences.
