Buffalo Grove village manager gets $30,000 bonus

Buffalo Grove trustees this week approved a $30,000 performance bonus for Village Manager Dane Bragg.

Trustees last year approved a similar $30,000 bonus for Bragg, who has been with the village since 2010 and makes a salary of $345,195, including 5% of deferred compensation.

Village President Eric Smith said Bragg has delivered what residents want from local government — strong finances, high quality services and thoughtful long-term planning.

“This bonus recognizes that level of performance and the value he brings to our community every day,” Village President Eric Smith said.

Trustee Joanne Johnson said he is respected by his peers, village staff and trustees.

Trustee Frank Cesario delivered a “scoreboard” with Bragg’s accomplishments, including a AAA bond rating.

“We as a village are winning,” Cesario said. “These are all things that start with the office of the village manager in getting things together and pushing these agendas through.”
