More therapy dogs sought for Naperville, Elmhurst hospitals

Endeavor Health is recruiting more therapy dogs to visit patients at Edward Hospital in Naperville and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

To be considered, dog owners can find an online application by going to endeavorhealth.org/give/volunteer, clicking “how to apply” at the bottom of the page and choosing “Animal-assisted therapy.” Applicants will be contacted for pre-screening.

Those who meet requirements will be scheduled for temperament testing on either Friday, April 24, or Saturday, April 25, within a two-hour time slot at Edward Hospital. Dogs and their handlers selected for the program also must attend mandatory training at the hospital in May.
