Waiting eagerly for campaign’s end

In less than two weeks, I will be going to my local voting location to register my very coveted vote. Now, comes the confusion for me. I have carefully studied newspaper articles in which they have interviewed political candidates and their views with all they plan to do if elected?

The Editorial Board then proceeded to endorse the person they feel is most qualified for the job. Often with multiple candidates, the editorials mention the very good qualities possessed by the candidates who are not endorsed at this time. They remain positives.

I watch my TV and am overwhelmed with the negativity being expressed by those running for office. Charges of fraud, candidates taking financial support from the “enemy,” machine politicians, selling out the public, etc., etc. There seems to be no end of these accusations. It is mind boggling.

Do some of these accusations influence my thinking? They do indeed! By the 17th of March it is possible that my choices today will not be in the voting booth with me

This is politics and I realize that when all the voting is completed most of these derogatory charges will be forgotten and all will be well in Party Headquarters.

This cannot come too soon.
