Century Lodge 492 — Independent Order of Odd Fellows offers scholarships to local students
Oddfellows Century Lodge 492 will be awarding scholarships to five current or former students of Algonquin-based Community Unit District 300 who wish to pursue higher education during the 2026-27 academic school year. The scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 each.
There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
The applicant must be a high school student, a college student, or a student of an accredited vocational or trade school who is graduating from, or has graduated from, a school in District 300. The student must be accepted to and planning to attend a college or accredited trade school, or attending college or an accredited vocational or trade school, in the award year.
Century Lodge 492 members and their families are not eligible. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time the scholarship is awarded. The students must maintain a “B” average or better GPA at the time the scholarship is awarded.
The awardees’ biographical information and images may be shared for promotional and/or media releases.
Applications must be received by May 8, 2026.

Students must complete the application, answer the essay question, and submit all documentation, including proof of residence, either online or mailed to Century Lodge 492, 50 E. Main St., Carpentersville, IL 60110 by May 8, 2026.
Entries submitted via postal mail must be postmarked by the deadline date. Further information regarding award presentations will be forthcoming.
