Indoor mini-golf, trampoline park, more coming this year to Gurnee Mills
Indoor minigolf and a trampoline park are among new offerings opening this year at Gurnee Mills.
They add to the roster of nearly 200 stores at the mall, including a variety of shops, three restaurants, two dining pavilions and entertainment such as bowling, ice skating and a theater.
The outlet and full-priced mall on Grand Avenue between Hunt Club Road and Interstate 94 in Gurnee announced the following openings Thursday.
• AJ’s Putt 'N' Play: An 18-hole indoor minigolf facility with challenging themes and 30 vintage and modern pinball and arcade games. Opening in March near Entry J.
• Ikea: The Swedish furniture giant will be converting 66,000 square feet in the former Sears Grand store to a new location showcasing more than 5,000 products. Full planning services also will be available to help create kitchens, wardrobes, living rooms, storage and more. The company’s new format store will be its third location in Illinois after the full-size stores in Schaumburg and Bolingbrook.
Three thousand items will be available for immediate takeaway, including home furnishing accessories and small furniture. Access to the full menu of offerings will be available with delivery or free store pickup as soon as the next day. Opening in the fall in Parking Lot B next to Hobby Lobby.
• Mida K-Beauty: A one-stop shop for all things related to Korean beauty, skin care and health products. Opening in April near Center Court.
• Sky Zone: Sky Zone is the originator of the trampoline park and a leader in active entertainment designed for families. It offers memberships, birthday party packages, group events and single-visit options. The location also will feature private party rooms and a Fuel Zone offering food and drink. Opening in summer Near Entry J.
