The news release said that between September 2025 and January 2026, Curry took part in the illegal sale of eight firearms in DuPage and Kane counties. It said he used a three-dimensional printing device to make conversion devices, which turn semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic machine guns and are illegal under Illinois law.
Curry had six machine-gun conversion devices, silencers and an unspecified amount of unserialized firearms and receivers.
The release said he also possessed 50 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and more than 200 grams of a substance containing the controlled hallucinogenic dimethyltryptamine.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Aurora and Naperville police. The attorney general is co-prosecuting the case with the DuPage County state’s attorney.
Curry is being held in jail while awaiting trial. His next court date is April 30, according to the DuPage County jail.
