‘It’s so outrageous’: Anti-war protesters rally in Aurora

Anti-war protesters gathered Sunday in downtown Aurora’s Wilder Park to oppose the launch of a new military conflict with Iran.

Protesters held signs, chanted and spoke out against the attacks launched early Saturday morning that have claimed the lives of reportedly dozens of Iranians and at least three U.S. service members.

“This Iran war is insane,” said protest organizer Andrew Hayman of St. Charles. “It’s just ridiculous to see the blood and treasure flow from things that could be our health care, could be educating our kids, could be feeding people, and it’s going to profit the worst human beings on the planet.”

Protester Maria Dalianis of West Chicago said, “Is there a day when we're not upset? We're so tired. It's so outrageous.”
