Candidate has done the hard work
This week I received a mailing from a candidate for the House District 52 Democratic primary using a strong vulgarity. My first reaction was shock and then anger. With the nationwide gutter rhetoric that we all are enduring, it was particularly uncomfortable to receive a flyer for the district I live in from a current candidate with that kind of fear-mongering and meanness. I expect better.
This type of action makes me question the judgment of this candidate. As a school board member this candidate made a bad decision which cost the Barrington School District and the taxpayers about $30,000. How much would it hurt taxpayers for poor judgment at the state level?
I want a candidate with integrity. A candidate who works hard and offers hope, not fear. A candidate who is the person she presents to be rather than a hidden person.
In this highly gerrymandered state, District 52 was drawn for Republicans. The reason this district is now purple is due to Maria Peterson’s hard work knocking on doors, talking to people and finding out what matters to them. I want a representative who is a leader not a runner. That is why I am voting for Maria Peterson for District 52.
