Buffalo Grove police hosting donation drive

The Buffalo Grove Police Department is hosting a community drive in March to collect essential household and personal care items for residents served by the Vernon and Wheeling township food pantries.

While some receive assistance through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, those benefits can only be used to purchase food and not many everyday necessities. The donation drive aims to help fill that gap by providing non-food essentials.

All items must be new and unopened. They can be dropped off in the collection bin in the police department lobby, 46 Raupp Blvd., through Tuesday, March 31.
