Feel-good music: Arlington Heights Community Concert Band to present ‘Good Vibes Only’
The Arlington Heights Community Concert Band will perform its first concert of the year, “GOOD VIBES ONLY,” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, in the Forest View Educational Center theater, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.
The concert, under the direction of conductor and artistic director Pietro Pisello, will feature feel-good music to provide positive energy and uplifting feelings. Organizers say it will be a great concert to shake off the winter blues.
Admission is free, but reserving tickets is highly recommended. Tickets can be reserved by email at ahccbtickets@gmail.com. Remaining tickets, if any, will be available at the door. Theater doors open at 2:30 p.m.
The Arlington Heights Community Concert Band has been performing for more than 40 years. Most members are not professional musicians, but come to rehearsals after their regular work hours to prepare for the next performance. They play for the love of music and for the pleasure of performing for their community.
The band is in partnership with District 214 Community Education and receives support from both the Arlington Heights Park District and the village of Arlington Heights.
Rehearsals are held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at Forest View Educational Center. For information, visit arlingtonheightsband.org.
