2026 Palatine road resurfacing program comes in 18% under budget

The Palatine village board this week awarded a $2.9 million contract to Builders Paving, LLC of Hillside for this year’s street resurfacing program, 18.1% below the $3.6 million budgeted, officials said.

Six bids were received for work, which will cover 39 sections of streets and nearly six miles.

Work will include inlet repairs, sidewalk replacement for ADA-accessible ramps and curb and gutter replacement.

Major funding for the program comes from the state Motor Fuel Tax.
