Glen Ellyn Catholic school awarded habitat grant for its pollinator garden

St. Petronille Catholic School in Glen Ellyn has been awarded $1,200 from the Illinois Schoolyard Habitat Action Grant program for a pollinator garden by third- and sixth-graders.

The grant, sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois Conservation Foundation, supports the development or enhancement of wildlife habitat on school grounds and other public spaces.

Applications for the next grant cycle will be accepted later this spring through Nov. 30. Application materials and additional information are available on the IDNR education grants website.
