Naperville Park District hosts wellness seminar on colon cancer care

As part of a Naperville Park District wellness series, the Fort Hill Activity Center will host a seminar on “Colon Cancer Options and Care” next month.

Dr. Jared Emolo, a surgeon at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, will lead an hour-long discussion with tips on how to navigate a cancer diagnosis. Additionally, Advocate will provide attendees with boxed lunches. The event is set to start at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11.

The best way to prevent colon cancer is to get screened regularly, which typically begins at age 45.

The seminar is free for Fort Hill Fitness members, but they must register in person at Fort Hill Activity Center or by phone at (630) 995-8900.

Nonmember fees are $5 per person. They need to sign up online at napervilleparks.org.
