Three park district employees honored as Employees of the Year

Mundelein Park & Recreation District proudly honored three exceptional team members as Employees of the Year during its annual Employee Recognition Event held on Feb. 6.

Tracie Ouimet exemplifies dedication, adaptability, and community-focused leadership. Through behind-the-scenes efforts, continuous professional growth, and strong partnerships, she consistently strengthens engagement and brings energy, purpose, and impact to every initiative.

Joe Schaul has strengthened facility operations through exceptional organization, technical skill, and a strong work ethic. His willingness to learn, take on complex projects and earn his CPO Certification has significantly improved efficiency and reliability across district facilities.

Amy Langille leads with creativity, professionalism and a deep commitment to inclusive community programming. Her ability to build partnerships, activate facilities and turn ideas into meaningful experiences has made a lasting impact across the district.

“Many employees were deserving, but these three employees jumped out based on peer comments,” said Ron Salski, Executive Director of Mundelein Park & Recreation District. “They achieved our values and strategic initiatives such as responsibility, investment in the community, inclusiveness internally and externally, responsible, fun and training and development.”

Milestone Service Awards

The event also recognized several employees for their years of dedicated service:

• 25 Years: Jon Karl and Beth Legoff

• 15 Years: Steve Moylan and Carol Specht

• 10 Years: Elizabeth Bedolla, Christa Lawrence, Shari Rivi and Mark Thommes

• 5 Years: Melinda Agosto, Heather Avis, Jordan Groth, Samantha Inendino, Marjorie Nison, Ron Salski, Joe Schaul, Lisa Sullivan, Omar Vazquez and Anthony Vickers
