Geneva teen killed by freight train

An 18-year-old Geneva resident died Sunday night after he was hit by an eastbound freight train near the Western Avenue grade crossing in Geneva.

No foul play is suspected, according to police.

He was hit on the northernmost track, just west of the crossing. Police say he was alone at the time.

Police are not releasing his name until they finish notifying his relatives.
