Montini Catholic subject of ‘unfounded’ threat

Authorities said an online threat against Montini Catholic High School was unfounded.

On Sunday night, Woodridge police notified the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office about the threat, which was made on Snapchat. Detectives learned a juvenile, who lives out of state, made the threat.

Before investigators determined who it was, the Lombard school decided to close its building and have e-learning Monday, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The news release did not detail the content of the threat. It said authorities are pursuing felony charges.
