O’Hara’s impact

It is with profound sadness that we learned of the passing of Catherine O'Hara, who starred in Home Alone and Schitt's Creek, among others.

Of course, like many people, I will forever remember her as the frantic Chicago suburban mom managing a gigantic North Shore household and trying to get back to her son during the holidays. Home Alone will always be special to those who've grown up watching every Christmas nostalgically, but it has a special place in the heart of Chicagoland.

The film truly put Chicago and her suburbs on the map. May O'Hara's soul rest in peace, and her memory be a blessing.
