Car wash proposed in Mundelein

Mundelein’s planning and zoning commission will meet Wednesday night to discuss a proposal for a car wash and a commercial building on the 1200 block of South Butterfield Road.

The proposed construction site is north of Route 60 near the Vernon Hills Animal Hospital. Houses stood on the properties before the land was acquired by the current owners, village documents indicate.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at village hall, 300 Plaza Circle.

The commission advises the village board on development-related issues.
