Warm up this winter with live music at Gail Borden Library

There is nothing better than listening to live music on a cold winter day. Enjoy inspiring melodies across a variety of genres, instruments and artists. Music allows the soul to pause and find moments of peace, and Gail Borden Library is the perfect place to enjoy these musical experiences.

Elgin Symphony Orchestra Listeners Club

Hear the latest news from the Elgin Symphony Orchestra at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Music Director Chad Goodman will lead a discussion about upcoming Elgin Symphony Orchestra concerts, repertoire, guest artists, special events and other symphony-related topics. Registration is required.

Sunday Afternoon Concert

Celebrate the season of love with a special afternoon of music at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, at the main library. This enchanting program, “Love the Wine You're With,” will feature baritone Aaron Wardell, soprano Kathleen Monson, and pianist Riko Higuma, with a carefully curated repertoire mixed of classical, classical crossover, contemporary favorites, and expressive duets designed to celebrate love in all its forms. Registration is required.

Sunday Concert

Experience an incredible blend of instruments at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, at the South Elgin Branch, 127 S. McLean Blvd. Enjoy the musical artistry of Craig Elliott on guitar and Chantal Shae on flute as they blend classical elegance, jazz flair and original tunes for an engaging afternoon of live music. Registration is required.
