Woman in critical condition after Aurora shooting
A 39-year-old woman is in critical condition after being shot early Tuesday morning in Aurora, police said.
The Aurora Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 600 block of South LaSalle Street shortly after 4 a.m. on Jan. 27, according to a news release.
Officers found the woman outside a residence and rendered aid until the fire department arrived. The woman was taken to a hospital and later transferred to another, where she was listed as being in critical but stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
Forensic evidence was collected from the scene, and the investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to call APD’s Investigations Bureau at (630) 256-5500.
