DuPage County candidates to square off in Elmhurst forum

The Elmhurst chapter of the League of Women Voters will hold a forum with candidates running for seats on the DuPage County Board, forest preserve board and countywide positions.

The moderated forum will be held at Elmhurst City Hall from 1 to 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1.

The Democrats seeking to become their party’s nominee for county sheriff — Robert Carroll and Peter Joseph Coolidge — are set to square off from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

The forum is expected to close with DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek and her primary challenger, Paula Deacon Garcia, a sitting county board member.
