Wasted street cleaning, plowing easy to stop

A snowplow went through our neighborhood last night when there was practically no snow along the sides of the street. For all practical purposes, none. This last summer, the big trucks would drive down our streets when there was practically nothing, neither dust nor leaves, in the streets’ gutters. The amount of dirt or dust I could make out could have been whisked away with a kitchen broom.

How many thousands of dollars per year are tossed uselessly away owing to these unnecessary practices?

All anyone has to do before throwing all that money away, money that could be used for sensible purposes, is to look out any city hall window once a day. Problem, costly problem, solved.
