Maine Township offering shuttle bus service

Maine Township offers a free shuttle bus service for Park Ridge-area residents.

Rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The bus is wheelchair accessible.

“This is an option for residents who could use a little extra support getting around,” Township Supervisor Kimberly Jones said in a news release. “Our goal is to make everyday trips easier, and help people stay connected to the community.”

The bus operates weekdays on a limited schedule. Interested customers should call (847) 297-2510, ext. 251, with the desired pickup time and see what options are available, a township spokesperson said.

Officials intend to hire an additional driver.
