Pride lost in what country has become

In response to Lewandowski (Jan. 13) and Shea (Jan. 1): They feel that the president has been maligned yet has been successful. Maligned? Yes, and with due cause. He has been 100% successful in the ruination of the American economy, the American reputation and the American democracy.

We’ve secured our border so that no foreigners want to visit and feel safe enough to spend money here. Deporting criminal, illegal immigrants? Mostly U.S. citizens of color. Impede drug trafficking and save Americans? Just bomb boats. Minimize the power of the cartels? Have we?

He hasn’t stopped the Russia/Ukraine war or brought stability to the Middle East. His administration has made a mockery of our military and our NATO dominance. He’s a war monger. He’s ravaged fair trade practices with other countries. He hasn’t made America energy independent. He’s grifted foreign investment in “America” (read his own pockets). He’s facilitated government waste and fraud, ICE/DHS/Pentagon are spending in unchecked ways.

ICE/DHS are now the criminals in America. He’s alienated almost every world country. He’s ransacked our economy, increased inflation risks and devastated jobs available. He has an administration of unqualified, talent-less sycophants.

I am an American who feels no pride in what this country has become. I fear for the American people. Average people can no longer afford to live here. When will America be great again? When will he do something for America and not just for himself?
