CPR training available in Lombard

The Lombard Fire Department is rolling out a new CPR training program this year.

The first class of 2026 is slated to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. The session will be held at Lombard Fire Station No. 45, at 50 E. St. Charles Road, and should last roughly three to four hours.

The course will feature “Heartsaver” CPR training, which is designed for non-medical individuals. Participants will also learn about AED use; administration of Narcan, the lifesaving opioid overdose antidote; and how to respond to choking emergencies.

The class is open to the public with no residency or age restrictions. The cost is $25 per person. To sign up, call (630) 620-5738 or email fire@villageoflombard.org. For details, contact Firefighter-Paramedic Kyle Straughn at straughnk@villageoflombard.org.
