Free tax preparation available at Hanover Township

Hanover Township and volunteers from AARP are offering free tax preparation beginning Feb. 9 at the Township Senior Center, 240 S. IL Route 59, in Bartlett. Appointments are required and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Jan. 26. Appointments will not be scheduled after April 6.

Last year, 421 people were served by the program.

Participants are asked to pick up the necessary documentation prior to their appointment at the Township Senior Center. All returns will be filed electronically, and printouts will be given to each participant for their records.
