Maryville Academy expands early childhood services through Maryville Child Development Center
Maryville Academy continues to strengthen its commitment to early childhood education through the Maryville Child Development Center, formerly known as Holy Family Childcare Center and Presence Holy Family Child Care.
Located at 100 North River Road in Des Plaines, the Maryville Child Development Center serves families with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. The center offers care from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and recognizes each child as an individual with unique physical, emotional and social needs.
The program provides a warm, welcoming environment where children can learn, play and thrive. Through a play-based curriculum, the center blends quality child care with early education to support growth and development in a safe and nurturing environment focused on individualized care, early learning and family partnership.
Program Director Amy Greif said the transition builds on a strong foundation.
“Here at the Maryville Child Development Center, it is essential to provide families with a healthy, safe and child-oriented environment where children can develop, play, grow and learn,” Greif said. “Our staff have been with us for a long time and are dedicated, patient and professional. We invite families to visit and become part of our community.”
Parents say the center offers peace of mind and meaningful learning experiences. Laura Nitahara, whose children have attended since infancy, said the care has made a lasting impact on her family.
“Watching our sons grow and learn here has been incredible,” Nitahara said. “There is nothing better than knowing your children are safe, deeply cared for and receiving a strong education. The teachers celebrate milestones and support growth every step of the way.”
Maryville Academy’s long-standing mission to protect children and strengthen families continues through the Center’s inclusive and individualized approach to early learning. The program emphasizes safety, consistency and partnership with families to help children reach their fullest potential.
