Oakton College to celebrate new learning commons

Oakton College will celebrate the opening of a new learning commons for students at its Des Plaines campus Tuesday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours are scheduled to begin at 4:10 p.m. at the facility, 1600 Golf Road.

According to a news release, the learning commons will have traditional library amenities as well as space for tutoring, student services, tech support and more.
