Learn about plans for Wheeling Family Aquatic Center overhaul

The Wheeling village board on Monday, Jan. 19, will review the latest renovation plans for the Wheeling Park District’s Family Aquatic Center.

Park district officials and consultants have been working on the plans for months. The center, at 105 Community Blvd., has reached the end of its reasonable life expectancy, officials have said.

An all-new aquatic center that would be built where the current 4-acre facility operates is in the works. A price tag hasn’t been finalized.

Monday’s village board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 2 Community Blvd. The meeting will be livestreamed on the village’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/@wheelingiltv.
