Time Out Market Chicago announces it will close

Time Out Market Chicago announced Wednesday that it will close following business on Jan. 23.

The 50,000-square-foot food hall in Fulton Market disclosed the news on its social media channels and in an article from its parent company, Time Out, a publishing company that covers entertainment in cities around the world.

Time Out Market opened in 2019 “to gather Chicago’s most exciting food and drink talents under one roof,” the social media post said. “Since then, it’s been an honor to showcase the city’s extraordinary chefs, bartenders, creators, and cultural voices, host unforgettable events, and welcome locals and visitors from around the globe.”

The post said the separate digital media brand, Time Out Chicago, is “staying put.”

The food hall currently has 17 vendors as well as two Time Out Market bars, according to its website.
