Seigle Foundation awards $250k in housing grants
Seigle Foundation recently announced the award of $250,000 in housing grants to the following charitable organizations: PADS of Elgin, Marklund, Community Crisis Center, CASA Kane County, Fellowship Housing Corp., Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Prairie State Legal Services, and Association for Individual Services.
PADS Executive Director Katie Shaw Thompson stated, “PADS of Elgin is grateful to be among the organizations receiving the support of Seigle Foundation in the coming year. Their impact extends beyond the funds they provide to include the thoughtful strategic partnership they offer and the connections they help foster throughout our community. The Dundee and Elgin area is stronger because of their leadership among us.”
Seigle Foundation is interested in supporting the provision of housing in numerous different forms.
Work in this area may include (but is not limited to) shelter for people experiencing special needs, homelessness, homeless prevention services, affordable housing, and homeownership for low-income residents.
In addition to housing, Seigle Foundation is focused on the arts, education, and food. Nonprofit organizations serving the Elgin and Dundee communities are eligible to apply. For more information, visit SeigleFoundation.org.
