Police investigating overnight shooting in Elgin

Elgin police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an early Sunday morning shooting.

Officers were called to Sherman Hospital at about 3:20 a.m. They received a report of an adult woman with what appeared to be a graze wound from a gunshot.

The shooting remains under investigation. They have yet to determine the location of the shooting.

No other victims were located and no calls for service related to a shooting were made, police said.
