Oak Brook Park District spreads holiday cheer through toy and coat drive

The Oak Brook Park District recently shared the incredible generosity of the community following two recent giving initiatives that brought warmth, joy, and holiday cheer to families in need.

Through the Toys For Tots collection and annual coat drive, community members donated approximately 750 toys and more than 200 coats, making a meaningful impact as the winter season begins.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of residents, local businesses, and program participants, approximately 750 new, unwrapped toys were collected and donated to Toys For Tots.

These contributions will help ensure children throughout the region experience the joy of the holiday season.

In addition, the park district’s coat drive collected over 200 coats, which will provide essential warmth during the winter months and be distributed through World Relief Chicagoland to support those in need.

“We are continually inspired by the kindness and generosity shown by our community. These donations reflect a shared commitment to caring for one another and making a positive difference,” said Laure Kosey, executive director.

The Oak Brook Park District extends its sincere thanks to everyone who donated, spread the word, or helped support these efforts. Together, we are making the season brighter and warmer for so many.
