Help Schaumburg Township families enjoy a warm holiday meal: spiral ham donations needed

With Thanksgiving behind us, the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry is shifting its focus to the next wave of holiday needs, and the demand is already rising. More than 1,400 local households continue to rely on the pantry each month, and spiral hams are one of the most requested items as families prepare for December celebrations.

A holiday meal is often more than food on a table. It’s a moment of togetherness, comfort and normalcy during a difficult season. For many of our neighbors, however, the cost of a special meal is out of reach. The donation of a spiral ham can help ensure local families are able to gather with dignity and share the traditions that make this time of year meaningful.

The pantry also welcomes donations of nonperishable foods, household essentials and personal care items, which help families stretch their budgets well beyond the holidays. Monetary donations are another powerful way to help; even a small contribution can bring relief to a family facing financial strain. Secure online donations can be made at schaumburgtownship.org/food-pantry.

Spiral hams and other in-kind donations can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the North Entrance of the Schaumburg Township building, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates.

As we move into the heart of the holiday season, every act of generosity — every can, every dollar and every spiral ham — helps brighten the season for families who need it most. Schaumburg Township thanks the community for its continued kindness, compassion and commitment to caring for one another.
