Lou Malnati’s continues 17-year tradition giving Thanksgiving meals to needy families
More than 200 Lou Malnati’s employees and their family members packed more than 1,200 Thanksgiving food baskets Saturday in Buffalo Grove.
The baskets, which are for Chicago-area families in need, are part of a 17-year tradition reflecting the company’s commitment to community.
The volunteers on production line filled laundry baskets with all the necessities for a Thanksgiving meal and then loaded them in trucks for delivery.
Lou Malnati’s teamed up with students from By The Hand Club For Kids to assemble “Boxes of Love” filled with full Thanksgiving meals for families across Chicago’s south and west sides.
