Maine South High School Presents the 2025 Variety Show ‘Wild, Wild V-Show’
Maine South High School invites the community to its annual variety show, a beloved tradition since the school first opened. This year’s production, “Wild, Wild V-Show,” brings a Wild West twist to the stage, blending classic variety show charm with fresh, student-driven creativity. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22 in the Maine South auditorium. Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for adults (cash only) and are available at the door on the night of each performance.
Each year, the Maine South V-Show showcases a new theme that guides the design, energy and sometimes even the musical selections of the performances. This fall, audiences will be transported to a spirited frontier town where Maine South’s talented students take center stage. The show features a mix of vocal solos and duets, dance numbers, performance ensembles, comedy sketches, original films and much more, highlighting the wide range of artistic expression found throughout the school.
Additionally, the V-Show is entirely student directed. From staging to choreography, from lighting to sound, from publicity to backstage coordination, students lead every element of the production. This collaborative model not only empowers student artists, but also cultivates leadership, ownership and a powerful sense of community pride.
“We are incredibly proud of the leadership and talents our students have brought to this year’s ‘Wild, Wild V-Show,’” Maine South Fine Arts Department Chair Dr. Teralyn Keith said. “From Footlighters, Stage Band, and Trunk, and from the student directors to our student music arrangers, every group has poured their heart into creating a night of unforgettable performances.”
Maine South High School is at 1111 S. Dee Road, Park Ridge.
