STEM event encourages girls to pursue science careers
The College of Lake County STEM for Girls event Saturday in Grayslake drew students in grades seven through 12 who are interested in exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.
The free program aims to motivate middle school and high school girls to become innovative and creative thinkers and to pursue STEM careers by introducing them to college life at CLC through a series of hands-on activities and presentations.
It is designed for individual girls and school, scouting and youth groups.
