Lake County authorities search Diamond Lake for missing Mundelein-area man

Lake County authorities searched Diamond Lake in Mundelein Friday for a Mundelein-area man who has been missing for more than a week, according to ABC 7.

Authorities had said earlier in the week that foul play may have been involved in the disappearance of Ruslan Furman, 51, last known to live on the 16500 block of North Route 83 in an unincorporated area near Mundelein, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office.

Deputy Chief Chris Covelli said detectives assisted by a SWAT team searched Furman’s last known home for any crime-related evidence.

The search Tuesday was not immigration related and was part of an ongoing investigation, Covelli said.
