Donate clothes, goods for needy families at South Barrington village hall

South Barrington officials are collecting coats, boots, bedding, books and more for area families.

Hats, gloves, snow pants, diapers and other goods are needed, too.

Items can be left in the red box inside village hall, 30 Barrington Road, on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The drive ends Nov. 26.

The collection is led by the Barrington Giving Day nonprofit group. More than 80 additional donation boxes are set up at Barrington-area schools and businesses.

Event sponsors include the Barrington Lions Club, the Arboretum of South Barrington and Barrington Area School District 220.
