Geneva man faces child porn charges

A Geneva man is charged with child sexual abuse materials crimes.
Kenneth A. Christensen, 34, of the 500 block of North Glengarry Drive, is charged with six counts of disseminating child pornography and 10 counts of possessing child pornography, according to a news release from the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.
The offenses occurred between Oct. 5 and Nov. 4, according to the news release.
The case was investigated by the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit and Batavia and Geneva police.
Prosecutors asked to have Christensen detained. But on Thursday, a judge denied that request. He was prohibited from having contact with minors and from having any device that can record photographs or videos.
His next court date is Thursday.
