Carpentersville police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night near an apartment complex on the 2100 block of Morningside Lane.

Police are not releasing any details about the shooting that occurred before 7 p.m., citing an ongoing investigation.

Police officials said no victim was located. There is no word on how many shots were fired and if anything else was struck. No arrests have been made either.
