Gurnee Cares offering grants for nonprofits

The Gurnee Cares Commission is rolling out a new grant program to assist local nonprofit organizations.

This new program offers nonprofits the opportunity to apply for up to $30,000 in funding to support programs addressing key community needs, including food security, utility and financial assistance, housing and homelessness prevention, mental health and substance use, transportation, senior support, and child and family support.

Organizations can sent letters of intent expressing an interest in the funding until Friday, Nov. 21.
