2 found dead in Palatine apartment

Palatine police are investigating the deaths of two people in an apartment Friday in the 1000 block of North Sterling Avenue.

Police were called around 9:26 p.m. to help an ambulance crew. Officers found the bodies of an 84-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has identified them as Karen L. Zincke and David W. Zincke. It has not determined the cause and manner of death, as of Saturday afternoon.

Police say there is no threat to public safety. They declined to release further information as of late Saturday afternoon.
