Return to GOP ideals

Letter writer Katy LaMantia (“What if …”) hit the nail on the head. I suppose I'm lucky to have both Democrat and Republican supporters in my sphere of family and friends. They all agree with Ms. LaMantia's assertions that this government made chaos, and corruption is not what we want or need in America.

My frustration is with Trump supporters who claim, “this is not what we voted for.” Sorry folks, this is what you voted for. I pray the Republican Party soon gets back to their ideals as expressed by folks like Reagan, Dirksen, Percy, et. al.

However, I won't hold my breath.
