Hello, readers of the Daily Herald’s Opinion page. Have you read a column by Veronique de Rugy lately?

Unlike many such columnists who seem obligated to relentlessly espouse the predictable views of one political party or another, Ms. de Rugy does neither. Her guiding principles, to me at least, look like efficiency in government, savings of taxpayers’ money, simplicity in government bureaucracy, and minimal if not zero political self interest.

She’s not just hip-shooting words to promote herself. Instead her writing sounds like she’s done some actual research. Hey give her views a read.
